ABOUT THE ST ALBANS FAMILY

THE VISION

“We shall be a spiritual home in which the Love of God, His Compassion, and His Living Word
comforts and enlivens all God’s people through ministry.”

THE MISSION

The Cathedral Church of St Albans the Martyr is called to be a devoted faith community that clearly
depicts that Jesus is Lord of all, and in which everyone is equipped to be a true disciple of the Lord by:
Worshipping and honouring God through our whole hearts and being, and committing ourselves to
His word, prayer, sacraments, fellowship in praise of God,

The cathedral means to provide a shelter for the healing and renewal of the human spirit, and refilling of hope, as a response
to the needs of our parishioners, the Diocese and society at large.

Serving one another, other parishes,

the Diocese and other faith communities in transcending
different cultures and diversity, and in advocating the social, economic and political upliftment.
Our community boldly interprets the Holy Scripture and the principles of the Christian faith in all our individual
lives, our ministries, preaching and teaching and programmes of action geared towards reaching out
to ourselves and others as witnesses to the Glory of Our Lord and Saviour.

"for I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you"

JEREMIAH 29:11

New wine is put into fresh wine skins, and so both are preserved.”
