BIBLE STUDY GROUPS

There is currently an initiative to increase the number of bible study groups within the parish. Those interested in learning how to facilitate a bible study group are requested to contact the office.

OLD PALM CROSSES

Parishioners are requested to return the palm crosses received during the 2023
Palm Sunday service. These crosses are required for the preparation of ashes for the Ash Wednesday
service on Wednesday, 14 February 2024.

ANNUAL VESTRY REPORTS

In accordance with the Diocesan Rules, the annual meeting of Vestry will
be held before 15 March 2024. Guilds and ministries are requested to submit their annual reports to the
office before Friday, 16 February 2024.

COMMUNICATION

Parishioners who do not receive communication from the Cathedral office are
requested to submit their communication details to the office

BAPTISM REGISTRATION

Registration for the next round of baptism classes is now open. Registration will close on Sunday, 18 February 2024. Classes will commence on Sunday, 25 February 2024 with the baptism service being held on Saturday, 30 March 2024. FAREWELL EVENTS

On Sunday, 25 February 2024 the parish will be bidding official farewell to the previous Verger, Mr Alex Nyokong, along with the previous Assistant Priests, Revd Hendrick Masanabo and Revd Sibusiso Mnguni.

CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION

YOUTH MINISTRY FACILITATORS

The Youth Ministry has communicated a need for volunteers to offer
themselves to assist with the Teens For Christ Ministry. Those interested in assisting as facilitators are
requested to contact Revd Hendrick Masanabo.

LENT COURSE THEME – DIVINE RENOVATION: FROM MAINTENANCE TO MISSION

This is a book by a Canadian Roman Catholic Priest that has spread across denominations around the
world. It is an engaging guide for parishes seeking to cultivate communities of discipleship and vibrant,
dynamic faith. Through this course, Fr James Mallon shares with us the many ways to bring our parishes
to life. Come and participate in this journey of faith and discipleship.

Kindly note that lectionaries for 2024 are now available. They may be purchased from the
office for R 45.00 or from the Churchwardens after the Sunday services.
